From Tom, to Matt, to Matt and Buck
Tom Galstad starts Galstad's Turf Care
The business began as Galstad's Turf Care, started by Tom Galstad, and went by that name until Matt took it over.
Matt takes over: Tolvstad's Turf Care
Matt Tolvstad worked for Tom for a few years and fell in love with the business. When he took it over, Galstad's Turf Care became Tolvstad's Turf Care.
Buck joins as co-owner
Buck Johnson, Matt's best friend, had helped Matt from time to time and fell in love with the work too. When Matt was at full capacity, Buck partnered with him as a 50% owner.
Jeff joins the team
Matt and Buck hired their first full-time employee, Jeff Raasch, a former Viroqua, Wisconsin police officer.
The owners still do the work. When we show up at your lawn, it's someone from right here in Holmen.

Lead Applicator & Quality ControlOur first full-time employee, hired in 2024. Before lawn care, Jeff was a police officer in Viroqua, Wisconsin.
